Class:  Room TBA

Course Goals:
The astrophysic course is a combination of lectures on stellar astronomy and projects using data gathered with the robotic observatory operated by LSMSA.  We will be gathering photometric data on variable stars and, time permitting, doing two-color photometry of star clusters to construct color-magnitude diagrams.  The students will be doing original research leading to possible publication.

To take astrophysics the student must have finished one semester of physics and had at least one semester of calculus.  The students must also do computer analysis of data and write reports on their observations.
