Leica M3/M2 -- 1955/1958

I bought a Leica in 2001, mainly to have a quiet camera for indoor work with interchangable lenses.  The camera is an older M3 from 1955 with continental shutter speeds and a collapsible 50mm f2 Summicron.  The Summicron works well, but is prone to flare.  It has a slight internal haze, but no cleaning marks.

The only other Leica lens I have is a 90mm f2.8 tele-elmarit.  Opal, sleeping on the printer paper until I disturbed her by turning on the light, is unimpressed.  After a year I bought an M2, made in 1958, which works better than the M3 for me -- partly the lower viewfinder magnification for wideangle lenses, but mostly the better condition of the rangefinder patch.  The M3 needs an overhaul.
