Allena Opper: Please prepare an outline of what is needed to calibrate
your detector and how much time that will need.
Off-Line calibration at Louisiana Tech:
Adding outside fiducial markers on the GEM frames
-> measure/relate readout structure of readout foil to fiducial markers
-> Check position accurarcy of the Region I rotator
How precise is the worm gear an the klicker ?!
=> Systematic error in rotation angle
How precise are the end switches for radial placement of the GEMS
=> Systematic error in the radial end position
==> Program for the next weeks. Currently we have two students available for this task

Online-Calibration: (w/o global tracking)
- Efficiency of the GEM
Comparing (radial) counting rates versus theory. Allows to define/verify the "dead zone" close to frame
- Detection of the collimator edges possible ?!
Probably the image of the collimator will be smeared out
by showers produced at the edges and/or at the inside walls of
the collimator
- Using Mike Finn's wire target and Region II
Connection between wire target, GEM, and Region II must be a straight line

That's all folks,
