Our high energy particle physics group is working on the D0 Upgrade at Fermilab. In particular, our group is involved on the Inner Cryostat Upgrade for Run 2 of the Tevatron.  My particular Physics interest on the D0 experiment is Electroweak physics.
We also are involved in the  Run2b Upgrade.   Some recent results of our work on the  Run2b readout effort can be found at
 Run 2b Readout Work.

We are also part of the MARGIE collaboration. MARGIE is a balloon-borne hard Xray/ soft Gamma ray Telescope Experiment which will have a minute of arc resolution. Our contribution to this experiment is the development of a CCD/Gyro attitude determination system.

Louisiana Tech University is actively doing gravitational wave research on LIGO at the LIGO Livingston Observatory (LLO) in Livingston, LA. Members of the Center for Applied Physics Studies (CAPS) have recently joined the LIGO Scientific Collaboration (LSC). We have recently performed seismic measurements to study the Microseismic Peak and are planning further measurements to study Gravity Gradient Noise at the LLO. We also are planning to perform surface studies of materials in the evacuated beam tubes of the LLO.
